This is the Equestrian Arts Website for the Kingdom of Æthelmearc. We are a Kingdom within the Society for Creative Anachronism. The equestrians in the SCA practice riding and  martial arts training on horseback much as it was done in the Middle Ages. We hold regular official and unofficial practices throughout the Kingdom, and have events and competitions during the year.

On these pages you will find the official rules for how the equestrian arts are practiced within our Kingdom, “meet” some of our riders and steeds, and find schedules for upcoming official SCA equestrian events.

Whether you already own a horse, or just want to become involved somehow with equestrian activities, there is plenty to do.  From riding and competing to helping out as a groundsperson, there is room in our equestrian community for anyone who wants to be part of one of the most exciting activities in the SCA. We invite you to join us!
